Day-Trading Scenarios for Apr 2, 2026
- Alex Wasilewski
- Apr 2
- 1 min read
Wild news related swings continue. Earnings and corporate developments - second place.
Market continues with daily ranges over 800 points.
Nearest resistance is 46300, then 46450.
Nearest support is 46030, then 45945.
The dominant driver is geopolitical risk. President Trump’s latest comments stating the war with Iran is “not yet over” dashed yesterday’s de-escalation hopes and triggered an immediate risk-off move: Dow futures are sharply lower while oil prices are climbing.
Watch for any signs of diplomatic progress (or escalation) in the Iran conflict — those will move YM faster than any single economic release. Technically the path of least resistance is lower in the near term, but oversold conditions could set up a bounce if risk appetite stabilizes.
The daily trend remains down. There are huge sell stops below 45885.
