Day-Trading Scenarios for Apr 24, 2026

Inside day before the open. 4 great days in a row. Let's make Friday a day we finish early.

Trend is mixed which means two-way trading.

Markets opened with some optimism but erased early gains, closing lower amid renewed concerns over the US-Iran stalemate. Peace talks remained stalled, with both sides maintaining positions on the Strait of Hormuz (blockades and leverage tactics), which kept oil prices elevated and pressured risk assets. Software and tech stocks (e.g., Salesforce, IBM, ServiceNow) underperformed notably, contributing to the Dow and broader index weakness. The S&P 500 fell ~0.41% and Nasdaq ~0.57-0.89%, with the latter hit hardest.

  • Bullish case (break/hold above 49,600–49,700): Targets 50,000+; momentum could accelerate on positive Iran news or strong earnings rotation.

  • Bearish case (break below 49,200–49,000): Deeper test toward 48,800 or lower, especially if oil spikes further.

Trade both ways. Just 2 more setups and we call it a day gang.

We start with a narrow range. This means the market, including the institutions, are confused as to the next move. This tells us to be patient, wait for the break, then get aboard. We are overbought.
