Day-Trading Scenarios for Mar 23, 2026

We have traded 5 times so far this morning. Not going to trade the open. There will be 300 point swings in both directions. The alligators are not all out of the kiddie pool. be safe.

All news driven. Oil prices are plunging (down ~10%+ in spots), VIX is easing, and equity futures have surged. This is classic relief-rally fuel, though the situation remains fluid and fragile — any reversal in rhetoric or new strikes could flip sentiment instantly.

Before the open the daily range is 1757 points and the SMF is 299. Many accounts will be blown away today. Make sure you are not one. I will not make another trading call until 10:00 AM Eastern.

Overall bias today is bullish with a relief-rally flavor, but stay nimble.

If I had to put a trade on right now I would place a limit order to go long at the prior congestion area of 46144.

We start with a narrow range. This means the market, including the institutions, are confused as to the next move. This tells us to be patient, wait for the break, then get aboard. We are overbought.
