Day-Trading Scenarios for Mar 24, 2026

Large Swing Magnitude for today 275 points.

Play both ends of an extreme range which should top out at 700 points.

Yesterday's bounce off the 45,453 low provided short-term relief in the broader medium-term correction/downtrend from the ~50,000+ zone earlier in 2026. The move reclaimed some ground but remains below key overhead resistance. Short-term momentum has improved from oversold levels (RSI bounced from sub-30), but the larger picture shows the index still in a downtrend channel with a death-cross pattern on daily charts.

Key levels for day trading today:

  • Resistance: 46,710 (near-term pivotal), then 47,000–47,210 (Monday high), and 47,500+.

  • Support: 46,200–46,300 (Monday close area), 45,893–46,000, and deeper at 45,453–45,500.

  • Intraday MAs (5/15-min) are mixed; a hold above 46,300 could support continuation toward 46,700, while a break below 46,173 risks a retest of lower supports.

We start with a narrow range. This means the market, including the institutions, are confused as to the next move. This tells us to be patient, wait for the break, then get aboard. We are overbought.
