Day-Trading Scenarios for May 26, 2026

Momentum slowing but trend stays higher.

There is still a lot of cash on the sidelines. Money managers are stuck trying to find investment bargains. We buy pullbacks. Today's pullback number is 211.

Dow Futures (YM June 2026 contract) saw overnight/electronic trading activity. On or around May 22 (last full session settlement), the June contract settled around 50,662, up roughly +0.56% that day. Futures traded in a range showing modest strength, with levels pushing toward the 51,000 area in subsequent sessions. As of early May 26 data, YM hovered near 50,900–51,000 (+0.5–0.7% from prior settlement in overnight trade).

  • Trend: Bullish bias intact. The index has been in a strong recovery/uptrend from earlier 2026 lows, recently testing/breaking the psychologically important 50,000 level on the cash Dow and futures equivalents.

  • Key Levels:

    • Resistance: 51,000–51,200 (recent highs), then potentially 51,500+.

    • Support: 50,400–50,662 (recent settlement/lows), then 50,000 psychological and 49,800–50,000 zone.
