Previous Day Recap (Friday, May 29, 2026) for Dow Futures / YM 06-26:
The cash Dow Jones Industrial Average closed at a new all-time high of 51,032.46, up +363.49 points (+0.72%). This marked the first close above the 51,000 level in history.
The S&P 500 rose +0.2% to 7,580.06, and the Nasdaq added +0.2% to 26,972.62. All three major indexes posted solid weekly and monthly gains, with the Dow up ~0.9% for the week and ~3% for May.
YM futures settled near 51,077.
Broader themes:
Geopolitics (U.S.-Iran developments) continues as the primary catalyst — further positive news supports stocks and lower oil.
Oil prices remain softer after May's steep decline, which is generally supportive for the Dow (lower input costs, consumer relief).
Earnings momentum and AI tailwinds persist.
Markets are at elevated valuations; any hotter-than-expected manufacturing data could raise rate hike concerns, while soft data might fuel growth worries.
There will be profit taking. Use sharp declines as buying opportunities AFTER the market begins to climb back up.
